Playlist da semana
Músicas cujas letras valem a pena serem conhecidas - extremamente líricas.
1) Nick Drake - Day is done
When the day is done
Down to earth, then sinks the sun
Along with everything that was lost and won
When the day is done.
When the day is done,
Hope so much your race will be all run.
Then you find you jumped the gun,
Have to go back where you began,
When the day is done.
When the night is cold,
Some get by but some get old,
Just to show life's not made of gold -
When the night is cold.
When the bird has flown,
Got no-one to call your own,
Got no place to call your home -
When the bird has flown.
When the game's been fought,
You speed the ball across the court;
Lost much sooner than you would have thought.
Now the game's been fought.
When the party's through,
Seems so very sad for you...
Didn't do the things you meant to do:
Now there's no time to start anew,
Now the party's through.
When the day is done
Down to earth, then sinks the sun
Along with everything that was lost and won
When the day is done.
2) Radiohead - Fake plastic trees
Her green plastic watering can
For her fake Chinese rubber plant
In the fake plastic earth,
That she bought from a rubber man
In a town full of rubber plans
To get rid of itself,
It wears her out, it wears her out,
It wears her out, it wears her out.
She lives with a broken man,
A cracked polystyrene man
Who just crumbles and burns.
He used to do surgery
For girls in the eighties
But gravity always wins.
It wears him out, it wears him out,
It wears him out, it wears him out.
She looks like the real thing,
She tastes like the real thing:
My fake plastic love!
But I can't help the feeling,
I could blow through the ceiling
If I just turn and run...
It wears me out, it wears me out,
It wears me out, it wears me out.
If I could be who you wanted...!
If I could be who you wanted all the time,
All the time...
3) The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby
Ah, look at all the lonely people!
Ah, look at all the lonely people!
Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been -
Lives in a dream -
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door -
Who is it for?
All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear.
No one comes near.
Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there.
What does he care?
All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people!
Ah, look at all the lonely people!
Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name.
Nobody came.
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave -
No one was saved
All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?
4) The Smiths - Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me
Last night I dreamt
That somebody loved me.
No hope, no harm,
Just another false alarm...
Last night I felt:
Real arms around me.
No hope, no harm,
Just another false alarm...
So, tell me how long
Before the last one?
And tell me how long
Before the right one?
The story is old - I know,
But it goes on...
The story is old - I know,
But it goes on.
Hermes.

God only wants you
Empresto minha vontade de me expressar à excelente banda Ours, com a música "God only wants you" do belíssimo álbum Mercy (Dancing For The Death Of An Imaginary Enemy).
"Can you say
God only wants you too
God only wants you to be
God only wants you...
Can you feel
God only wants you too
God only wants you to dream
God only wants you...
Forever, forever, forever, forever, forever, forever can....
And it seems so hopeless...
Can't you see
I only wanted you
I only want you for me
I only want me...
Could it be
if I was the only,
if I was the only for you,
if I was the lonely...
Forever, forever, forever, forever, forever, forever can...
And it seems so, hopeless...
Forever, forever, forever, forever, forever, forever can...
And it seems so hopeless...
Can you say
God only wants you too
God only wants you to be
God only wants you..."

Oração das 4h40 (Incompletas)
Quando, por fim, meu tosco lábio tocaria
sedento, o teu – ah, deus!
na justa paz desse pacífico começo;

Fez-se do amigo próximo o distante
Fez-se da vida uma aventura errante
De repente, não mais que de repente.
Vinicius de Moraes
